Tips for Taking Care of Your Blender

If you have been using a blender, you must be aware of the importance of taking care and maintaining the blender. You must ensure its correct usage and regular cleanliness to ensure that the blender remains operational and in good condition for a long time. Here are some tips for taking care of the blender:

  • Prior to maintaining or cleaning the blender, ensure that the appliance is unplugged and the main switch is turned off.
  • Rinse the blender jar thoroughly with warm water after each use. Add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to the blender jar and fill half the jar with warm water. Put on the lid and pulse for half a minute. Rinse again and let it dry.
  • Clean the jar base with a damp cloth and before placing the jar ensure that the base is dry.
  • Take care of the safety instructions of the blender jar like using in the dishwasher, freezer, or refrigerator.   
  • Prior to Using the blender, make sure that the jar has been securely placed on the motorized blender base.

  • Before starting the blender, hold the jar since the base might move from its place due to the powerful motor.
  • Be cautious while placing fingers in the jar as the blade are quite sharp.
  • Before operating the blender, make sure that the blade set is always secure and tight.
  • Open the blender lid only when the blade has fully stopped its rotation.
  • While operating the blender, always begin from low speed to high and make sure that it has been set back to low for the subsequent blending round.
  • To enhance the longevity of the blender motor, add the hardest ingredient at the last. Moreover, liquids should be added first and then the solids. This would ensure that the blades of the blender don’t overwork.
  • To ensure efficient functioning of the blender blades, consistently oil them. Prior to oiling, read the instructions for oiling in the manual. If the blender blades get damaged, immediately get them replaced.
